Cold weather in winter is self-evident even for animals, but for Eskom it is a surprise? For decades in Apartheid, before the ANC regime was given the then first world country, Eskom supplied whatever was demanded without interruption thanks to good long-term planning and maintenance measures, but now Eskom has warned about electricity faults in KwaZulu-Natal due to cold weather! The question is, is power still quietly being sent to the African #SAPP network, when we are asked to save power, for which we paid dearly with taxes? Are we also being forced to sustain and keep the rest of Africa afloat? Even Malawi’s power provider is called “Escom!” Continue reading…
More than R120 Million in hard cash was looted from ATMs and banks during the recent ANC violence that swept through parts of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal in mid-July. This amount is much higher than the initial estimates and does not include the repair costs. Continue reading…
King of the Zulu nation, Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu (72), died after contracting Covid-19 in hospital. Zwelithini, died in the early hours of Friday morning from Covid-19 complications at a hospital in KwaZulu-Natal, where he checked in last month for diabetes treatment. He reportedly contracted the coronavirus there, and was moved to intensive care. In classic nasty “woke” style, far left wing Newspapers City Press and Sunday Times jumped on the opportunity to insult the Zulu King, even before he is laid to rest on Wednesday in a private ceremony.
“Tragically, while still in hospital, His Majesty’s health took a turn for the worse and he subsequently passed away in the early hours of this morning,” said Prince Mangosutho Buthelezi, the Zulu Prime Minister and founder of the Inkatha Freedom Party. “On behalf of the Royal Family, we thank the nation for your continued prayers and support in this most difficult time.” There ar Continue reading…
A picture of modern day slavery operated by the Kwasizabantu (KSB) Christian sect in KZN, has come to light after continued disclosures by former members and employees there. A newspaper Rapport also revealed this past Sunday how a young woman was raped by a church elder as “punishment” because she wanted to leave the place. Previous reports also exposed how R136 million of church money was stolen by Lydia Dube, right hand woman of the church founder Erlo Stegen. A recent book by a former leader, Albert Pilon, has also revealed “a trail of destruction” by Erlo Stegen.
The son of a church elder who had stayed there his whole life but left KSB already, described a picture of modern slavery with employees working in the Aquelle water bottling plant and avocado and pepper farming business – which supplies products to Woolworths – being paid slave wages and church elders like Erlo Stegen living in opulence with luxury sedans and even aircraft ferrying them around. Erlo Continue reading…
The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs in KwaZulu-Natal has activated councillors and volunteers to assist affected communities after a tornado hit New Hanover, Pietermaritzburg, on Tuesday afternoon.

The Durban mayor announced over the weekend that the Durban port should be closed to prevent minerals from leaving the country.
This must apparently be done to become independent of Western imperialism. No word has been spoken of China and the Brick countries exporting minerals.
Mike Schüssler questions the logic, as mining houses without exports would not be able to pay workers and workers could not take money home.
Without mineral exports, the economy as a whole would go under and the existing weak economy would have been already in a deep depression.
A 13-year court battle gave 20 farmers (willing sellers) a fair price for their land offered to the state. The claims were initially set at about 42 000 ha. Landowners offered some 9,000 ha of highly productive agricultural land to the state to settle the claim.
The government had to admit that the Valuer-General wanted to buy the farms from the farmers for almost half their value. The landowners of Melmoth in Natal entered into an agreement with the Department of Land Reform whereby they would voluntarily make land available to the government. The deal would mean R761m for the farmers.
The government has repeatedly decided that the Valuer-General’s assistance should be called and according to a “government formula” they calculated that the farmers were entitled to only R420 million.
Last week, the government abandoned the fight to use the formula. According to Attorney Bertus van der Merwe, who represented the farmers for the past two years, the turnaround Continue reading…
Rebellious students from Durban University of Technology wreaks havoc at the Steve Biko campus during a violent demonstration. They insist that the current security company be replaced. Lectures are currently suspended and nearly 34,000 students are unable to attend lectures. During the riot, 9 students were arrested after gasoline was thrown over a security guard and he was set on fire.
During the riot, two waiting rooms and the interview room were destroyed, and the 27-year-old security officer sustained serious injuries. The latter was rescued after a close escape when his colleagues saw the attack and he was rushed to hospital. Nine students between 20 and 30 years were arrested. The provincial commissioner of police strongly condemned the incident, saying that the involved students is charged with attempted murder, malicious damage to property and public violence.
It is worrying how students can justify their grievances through lawlessness and assault. Most tert Continue reading…
